Doubtless an authors politics must be one element, and even an important one, in the germination of his art, but if it is art he has created, it must by definition bend itself to his observation, rather than to his opinions or even his hopes.

The Playwrights Workshop met 5 December (Sat) in the Cocoa Library. We read two plays, both of which were accepted for production. We read a new play, 'They're Dancing Next Day', by Lindsey Ferrentino. We gave a second reading to, 'Dawn's Early Light' (formerly 'A Day In Conecticut In 1775'), by Al Lehman. Both plays will be scheduled for either our February or May production.
The November production of Playwrights Workshop was a success. We had 154 attend the four day production 5-8 Nov 09, which is about average for our Nov productions. Congratulations to our authors for their well received plays. The plays received the following average scores from the audience.
